Vignettes of the modern world

The C word

The job interview arrived to the question I looked forward to the most, the only one I did not need to prepare for, since I simply needed to be myself and say what was on my heart, or rather in my life, for the answer was a reflection of it.

"Could you tell me about your personal interests, your hobbies, how you like to spend your time?" "Of course", I reply. "I think my greatest interest in life is being utterly cucked by the world and never doing something I personally want to, always asking permission to do anything, feeling bad about having my own preferences which might go against the group. I really have no autonomy whatsoever I must say, and I really enjoy having someone tell me not just what to do, but what to think, because that relieves a great deal of burden from myself."
"Of course I like to complain about my life with other people, but I always make sure to never do anything whatsoever which could radically change it, whether it is deliberate action, thoughtful introspection, or even plain acceptance of what is. No, I prefer to be slightly irritated and frustrated all the time, but not enough that it would lead to make meaningful changes."
"When I am done with work, I like to have my needs be dictated to me by a screen, on which I also watch plenty of pornography, where I can experience the pleasure of being cucked far more directly and potently, by getting to watch beautiful and emotionally deadened women get fucked by guys who are far better than me in bed."

After hearing this, the interviewer was impressed and I spent the next 35 years of my life miserable and well cucked by my boss, who also happened to sleep with my wife one day. That turned me on.

Safety

At a public playground, a child is allowed to play but his mom constantly bickers in and tells him what he can't do. "Don't go on that ramp, it's not safe", "Don't grab the bar like that, you are going to fall", "Pay more attention, you are going to slip", "Go slower, you are going to hurt yourself".
When the mom is not telling her child what to do, she is on her phone, like most people, which she uses for "entertainment", yet she appears incredibly stressed and bored by everything she reads on it. On the screen we can learn that the government is mandating the use of an app which would track people's location, to help with police investigations and bring more safety to the country, motivated by the recent disappearance of a teenage girl recently. The news was well received by the population, who never spent much time away from their phone and had nothing to hide anyway, as they themselves say.

Misery olympics

At the office, one person only slept four hours last night and complains to the others about how tired they feel. Someone else replies that they only slept two hours which means that they have it worse. Another replies that they didn't sleep at all because they were stressed out about the coming deadline. And a last person says that not only did they not sleep and are feeling stressed out, but they had to sleep on the couch because their wife is mad at them.
The boss witnesses these misery olympics and casually whistles to himself, glad that the people are mad at one another and aren't thinking about how he is making far more money than them without putting in any work.
